  • 18+ Age Restriction: Enforced mathematical age validation on the registration form to ensure all users are legally adults (18+).
  • Terms of Service Agreement: Added an explicit, required checkbox on registration for users to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before creating an account.

🚀 New Features & UX Improvements

  • Automated Notification Triggers: Migrated notification generation entirely to the backend, guaranteeing instant, reliable notifications for Likes, Replies, Echoes (Reposts), and Vault Messages, even if the user loses connectivity.
  • Message Notifications: Upgraded the in-app notifications tab to support Vault Chat alerts. Users now receive an envelope-icon notification when someone sends them a private message.

🎨 UI / UX Improvements

  • Camera Support: Added NSCameraUsageDescription privacy key, enabling users to capture photos directly from the camera for Drop attachments and Vault messages.
  • Attachment Options: Users in Drops and The Vault can now choose between Gallery, Camera, or Files when attaching media.
  • The Vault Navigation Fix: Added proper back navigation from The Vault, so users can return to their previous screen instead of being stuck.

🐛 Bug Fixes & Stability

  • Drop Like Fix: Resolved a critical bug where liking a Drop would silently fail due to a Supabase upsert conflict. Likes now use a clean insert operation.
  • Like Count Sync: Added database triggers (increment_like_count / decrement_like_count) to automatically keep like_count in sync on the drops table.
  • Race Condition Fix: Fixed a timing issue where fetchUserInteractions would abort on app launch because currentUser had not yet been assigned. The function now accepts an explicit userId parameter.
  • Type-Check Compilation Fix: Resolved a SwiftUI "unable to type-check this expression in reasonable time" error in DropCard.swift caused by passing UUID? into UUID(uuidString:).
  • Sentry SDK Integration: Integrated Sentry crash reporting for real-time error monitoring and diagnostics.

Vyoma - Version 3.0

🎨 UI / UX Improvements

  • Neo-Brutalist Vault Redesign: Completely overhauled the Vault Inbox and Chat interfaces to perfectly match the app's signature Neo-Brutalist design language (heavy borders, offset drop-shadows, and electric yellow accents).
  • Seamless App Launch: Implemented a dedicated Splash Screen featuring the Vyoma icon and typography that displays while authenticating, eliminating the jarring 1-2 second "login screen flash" on startup.
  • Keyboard Navigation: Re-engineered the Main Tab Bar to properly anchor to the bottom of the screen when the keyboard is open, preventing UI overlap.

🐛 Bug Fixes & Stability

  • Account Termination Fix: Completely repaired the "Erase Identity" (Delete Account) functionality. The buttons on the main Settings page and the Data Privacy sheet now safely delete the user's data, close the active sheet, and smoothly route back to the Login screen without freezing the app.
  • Shadow Compositing Fix: Resolved a rendering bug in SwiftUI where overlapping shadow layers were creating a "double text" glitch in the Vault.
  • Pull-to-Refresh Stability: Suppressed background cancellation errors that were causing silent UI crashes during rapid pull-to-refresh actions on the main feed.
